Silent Asia On-line Film Festival 2014

“Silent Asia On-line Film Festival” is the first completely on-line festival focused on the discovery of silent and old Asian films, from the beginning of the 20th century to the ’30s.

Held twice a year on the web, the festival organizes retrospectives, screening selected masterpieces, with written introductions and prefaces.

It is also publisher of “Silent Asia Film Journal”, a quarterly journal that consists in two catalogue issues for the two editions of the festival and in other two editions open to contributions of scholar involved in silent Asian cinema.

“Silent Asia On-line Film Festival” is a non-profit event, without registration and charges, and all the screened films are of public domain and free of copyright. Its main goal is the discovery of silent and old Asian films.
